I’m a mother of two who recently gave birth to my son, Adriel on April 2nd. In the beginning of my third trimester I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes. Something I didn’t experience with my first. When he was born, he was diagnosed with a cleft palette (something we had no idea about) which is why I feed him my breast milk through a specialty bottle. However, since I had gestational diabetes we struggled the first hours of his birth trying to regulate his sugar levels which is why he was given formula at the time. Since then, I started pumping every 2 hours to build up my milk supply. Thankfully, he reached his birth weight and has been doing so well since. By the second week of his birth he no longer needed formula and i have been exclusively bottle feeding him breast milk for the past three months. I’m very grateful for my supply. I’m able to pump 6-8 ounces every 3 hours! I would love to try one of your breast pumps to help with my pumping on the go.
The first picture below is what I would pump and syringe feed him during our stay at the hospital. The second picture is what I’m currently pumping on a good day! The third picture is what most days look like for me. Pumping while trying to entertain him.
